Within the first few weeks of a spinal cord injury, you are diagnosed as "incomplete" or "complete". Patients diagnosed as "complete,", meaning no movement or sensation below their injury, are told their injury is permanent and insurance will not pay for rehabilitation. We believe that needs to change.
